Summary:

To receive more from God, you must do your part, which involves walking in the Spirit. Failure to change your mindset by aligning your thoughts with His Word will cause you to miss out on all
that God wants to do in your life.

  1. The blessings of God are located in the Spirit (Ephesians 1:3).
    1. God has already blessed you with all spiritual blessings.
      1. The blessing is an ability that comes from God; it is His ability on your ability—His “super” on your “natural”—that enables you to do what you
        couldn’t do before.
      2. There is a spiritual root to all physical manifestations.
      3. When you became born again, you received the root to everything that pertains to life and godliness in this physical world.
    2. Declaring that you are blessed defeats the carnal mindset.

  2. Jesus’ words are spirit and life (John 6:63).
    1. The Spirit of God quickens, or gives life to, the things you desire from God.
    2. Walking in the Spirit is walking in agreement with the Word, which makes you spiritual.
      1. When you walk in the Spirit, you are on the path of life and experience supernatural results.
      2. When you walk in the Spirit, Satan has no access to you.
    3. The only way to conquer the flesh is by walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16, 19).
      1. Fasting will not conquer the works of the flesh (of wrong thinking).
      2. Walking in the flesh is a mindset that is contrary to God and His Word.
      3. The flesh leads you away from manifestation, because it only understands what it sees and feels.
      4. The flesh = no profit, a curse and death (Jeremiah 17:5).
      5. You can choose life, or you can choose death (Deuteronomy 30:19).
    4. When you have a carnal mindset, you go against your righteousness.
    5. Right actions come from right thinking (Proverbs 23:7).
    6. Condemnation involves the flesh (Romans 8:1-14).
      1. The flesh does not submit to the laws of God.
      2. The Word will not work for a carnal Christian.
      3. Religion = thinking like the world and yet trying to live by the Word.
      4. Carnal people cannot please God.

  3. Every believer is responsible for setting/changing his or her own mindset (Colossians 3:1-2, AMP).
    1. Your thoughts must be set on things that are higher than the things of the world.
    2. Right actions won’t change wrong thinking. However, right thinking will change your actions.
