Summary:

When the Holy Spirit, Who is love, came to live within you, He poured all that He is into you. As a result, you are equipped to love others beyond your natural, human ability to love. You
are capable of walking in God’s unconditional love.

  1. In the kingdom of God, 1+1+1 = 1 (1 John 5:6-7).
    1. The Holy Trinity is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit: one God, but three different functions.
      1. Example:  Bishop Bagonza Robert is a father, a husband and the pastor of a church; when he is ministering from the pulpit, he’s functioning as a pastor, not as
        Evelyn Bagonza's husband.
    2. God is love (1John 4:8).
      1. When you became born again, the Holy Spirit poured God’s love into your heart (Romans 5:5, AMP).
      2. Jesus asked the Father to give us His love (John 17:23).
    3. God wants you to be strengthened with His might (Ephesians 3:16-17).
      1. Might is “an ability or anointing to do anything.”
      2. Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing, dwells in your heart by faith.
    4. Love is the root to your faith, anointing and power.
      1. You must have character before you can have power.
      2. Character is “doing what’s right because it’s right, and then doing it right.”
      3. Walking in love is right.

  2. The personality of the Holy Spirit is revealed in His name.
    1. Jesus called the Holy Spirit “the Comforter.”
      1. His mission is to bring comfort to every area of your life—including anywhere you are experiencing discomfort.
    2. Jesus had to leave so the Comforter could come.
      1. Jesus told the disciples it would be expedient for Him to go away (John 16:5-7).
      2. Expedient means “profitable; good; to their advantage.”
      3. The Comforter has come, and it is time for Christians to start walking in their advantage.
    3. When you operate in the love that the Holy Spirit has provided, it will ensure your comfort.

  3. The Holy Spirit will reveal the true sons and daughters of God.
    1. Sonship with God is defined as “a man or woman who, by the power of God, brings deliverance and liberty to mankind.”
    2. Believers should be doing greater works than what Jesus did while He was on the earth (John 14:12, AMP).
    3. Religion considers it heresy to believe that you can act like God.
      1. The Holy Spirit is a Teacher Who will teach you how to be a “little god” (a replica of God) on earth. You are to resemble your heavenly Father.

  4. The attributes of the Holy Spirit
    1. The Holy Spirit is the oil of joy (Isaiah 61:3).
      1. You cannot be filled with the Holy Spirit and not have joy in your life.
      2. You have been anointed with the oil of gladness (Psalm 45:7).
      3. Joy works like medicine (Proverbs 17:22).
      4. Joy comes from what you know from the Word of God.
      5. A joyful spirit will sustain you through bodily pain or trouble (Proverbs 18:14, AMP).
      6. Bitterness brings trouble (Hebrews 12:15).
    2. The love of God that was poured into your heart determines your access to revelation (enlightenment, direction).
      1. If you are not developing in love, you will most likely not hear from God.
      2. Love cannot communicate with strife.
      3. When you love others, it is proof that you love God (Matthew 22:37-40).
      4. Love is the platform by which the law and commandments function; without the platform, you will just have a form of godliness with no power.
      5. It was Jesus’ compassion that enabled Him to heal, deliver and set free.
    3. When you are anointed with the Holy Spirit, your praise enters a higher dimension.
      1. High praise is a fundamental requirement for moving God to take over your battles so that you can become a spectator.
      2. You are sure to have sweatless victories when you operate on a high-praise frequency.
      3. High praise stills the Enemy.
    4. When the Holy Spirit shows up, so does favor.
      1. When you carry the anointing of the Holy Spirit, your name is sweet and creates an expectation (Song of Solomon 1:3); you’ll “smell good” to God
and enjoy love and favor from others.
      2. People will want to do things for you because of the anointing that is on your life.
      3. Success is the foundation of favor.
