Summary:

Sowing and reaping are foundational principles that will never go away. Seedtime and harvest refer to every area of life, not just money. Seeds that are sown into the ground determine what
type of crops will grow. For example, if a farmer sows corn seeds into
the ground, he is sure to receive a harvest of corn. Likewise, when you
sow God’s Word into your heart, it is inevitable for you to reap His
promises.

  1. The Bible is not a book of rules but a bag of seeds.
    1. The Bible holds 66 books worth of seeds that will produce a harvest for any area of your life whether it is spiritually, emotionally, physically or
      financially.
    2. Many people accept the concept of sowing and reaping but do not recognize the law of seedtime and harvest working in their everyday life.
    3. The principle of seedtime and harvest will last as long as the earth remains (Genesis 8:20-22).

  2. God’s kingdom is a system of casting seeds into the ground (Mark 4:26-32).
    1. The Word is incorruptible seed that comes from God; it will never fail.
      1. The seeds that you sow determine what you get in return.
    2. For example, if you sow evil and strife, you’ll receive evil and strife. If you sow forgiveness, you’ll receive forgiveness. If you give, it will
be given to you (Luke 6:36-38).
    3. There is a promise in God’s Word that will meet every need that you have (Philippians 4:19).
    4. When you decide what kind of harvest you want, you can find out what kind of seed you need to sow based on the Word of God.

  3. Your heart is a garden and so is your life.
    1. God formed you from the soil of the ground; therefore, your heart is ground for sowing (Genesis 2:7).
    2. You are not where you are in life for no reason. Your life is a sum total of the seeds you have sown.
    3. When you seek God first, read His Word and allow it to be rooted in your heart, you will discover the answers to the issues of life (Matthew
      6:33).
      1. Sow the seed—Put God’s Word into your heart by finding scriptures on whatever issue you are dealing with (Psalm 34:10; Jeremiah 1:12).
      2. Water the seed—Read the scripture, write it down, confess it, speak it to others, dream about it, and out of your garden (your heart) will come
        your prosperity
