Summary:

God is not a respecter of persons; His Word is designed to produce results in everyone's life. However, some people may not see results because of

the spiritual condition of their heart. In order for the seed of God's
Word to manifest in your life, your heart must be pure. The amount of
thought and attention you give to the Word determines the level of
power you experience in your life. Pay attention to what you hear, and
hold on to the truths of God's Word.

  1. The reason people fail to receive is because of the condition of their hearts.
    1. The type of soil determines whether the seed of the Word will produce a harvest (Mark 4:3-8, 14-20).
    2. Be careful of how you hear and receive the Word of God (v. 24); make sure your heart is good ground for receiving the Word.
      1. Take heed to what you hear, and hold on to it (Hebrews 2:1).
    3. Guard the Word of God that you receive in your heart.
      1. Satan wants to steal the Word you hear.
    4. You must always be in position to receive the Word.
      1. Welcome the Word of God in your heart gladly.
      2. In order to produce results, the Word must be rooted in your heart.
    5. You must be a doer, and not only a hearer, of the Word (James 1:21-25).

  2. You must think on the Word of God in order to see manifestation.
    1. Think on things that are pure, honest, lovely and of good report; think on the Word instead of negative circumstances and situations (Philippians
      4:8, 9).
      1. Think on what is worthy of praise.
    2. The measure of thought that you give to the Word determines the level of virtue, or power, you walk in.
    3. Christians are called to demonstrate the manifestation of God's power (2 Peter 1:3).

  3. Expect to receive from God.
    1. The woman with the issue of blood expected to receive from Jesus, and as a result of her faith, she was healed of her infirmity (Mark 5:25-29).
