Summary:

When you know God as your Father, your interaction with Him becomes more than religion, it becomes a personal relationship. As a Believer, you are a child of God and a part of His

family. Your acceptance of Jesus Christ positions you to have a
relationship with the Father. He is eagerly waiting to shower you with
His love, mercy and blessings.


  1. God wants to develop an intimate relationship with His children.
    1. Though we are all God's creation, we are not all His children.
    2. You become a child of God when you become born again.
    3. God is not the Father of unbelievers (John 8:44).
    4. God is your Father when you are a part of His family
      (Ephesians 3:14, 15).

  2. Your heavenly Father is so aware of you that He knows your needs and wants to meet those needs (Matthew 6:25-34).
    1. God knows what you need before you ask Him (Matthew 6: 8, 9).
    2. God wants to answer your prayers so that your joy can be full
      (John 16:23).
      1. When you pray to the Father in the name of Jesus, in line with His Word, He will answer your prayers.
    3. Don't worry about how your needs are going to be met.
      1. Allow God to have the opportunity to meet your needs.
      2. It requires confidence to trust God to meet your needs.
      3. See your way out of your situations and circumstances by going to Him first.

  3. God loves you because you love and accept His Son Jesus
    (John 16:27).
    1. You don't have to do things to earn the Father's love.
    2. When you recognize God as your Father, you move from religion to relationship.

  4. You become acquainted with the Father through His Word.
    1. God reveals Himself through His Word.
    2. You don't become acquainted with God through your feelings because your feelings change.
    3. Learn how to integrate God into your everyday life.
    4. Spend time in the Word every day.

  5. You demonstrate your love for your heavenly Father by keeping His commandments (John 14:21-23).
    1. Walk in love toward others because God commands you to do so (John 13:34).
    2. If you love God you will love others (Romans 13:10).

  6. Jesus is your bridge to the Father.
    1. God loves you as much as He loves Jesus (John 17:23).

  7. God wants to give you what you ask of Him because He loves you (Matthew 7:11).
    1. When you love Jesus, the Father loves you (John 16:27).
    2. Your Father will never leave you alone (John 16:32).
    3. God cares about you watchfully (1 Peter 5:7, AMP).
    4. God loves you enough to take your cares.
    5. You can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13).
    6. God is for you (Romans 8:31).
      1. You must have confidence that He is on your side.
    7. God is the strength of your life (Psalm 27:1).
    8. God will not leave you, so be bold when you approach Him
      (Hebrews 13:5, 6).
    9. God will lead, guide and provide for you (Psalm 23).
