What does it mean to fight the good fight of faith? It means to remain steadfast in aligning your mindset with God's Word, regardless of what
is going on around you. God's Word has the power to deliver you from
lustful thinking. Conquer the opposing mindsets that try to keep you
out of God's will for your life.

  1. The kingdom of God is based on love. Seek ways to do things for someone else.
    1. When you are born again, you are born into God's kingdom, which is His way of doing things.
      1. The world's system is based on selfishness.
      2. Do not fall in love with the world's way of doing things (1 John 2:15, AMP).
        1. All that is in the world is lust (1 John 2:16-17).
      3. In the world, there is a disregard for God's Word.
        1. In the world's system, there is the belief that the Bible is outdated and irrelevant.
        2. Regardless of the world's opinion, God does not change and His Word remains true forever.
        3. The world system and its lusts will pass away, but God's Word is eternal.
    2. Every day you have a choice to make-to follow the world's system or God's system.
      1. In the kingdom of God, you profit here on Earth, as well as in Heaven.
      2. In the world's system, there is no real profit; however, there will be an illusion of profit (John 6:63).
    3. Your current situation in life is a harvest of what you have planted in your heart.
      1. Lust is an intense appetite to fulfill selfish gratification.
        1. The purpose of lust is to lure you out of God's will for your life.

        3. Take heed to what you watch, listen to, and speak.
        4. Your heart is like a garden; whatever is planted in it will grow.

  2. The solution to conquering lust is to get rid of a mindset that does not agree with God and His Word.
    1. Be sure your life is governed by the Word; it is the Word that makes you spiritual (Galatians 5:16, 17, AMP).
      1. The flesh is a mindset that opposes the Word of God.
        1. Sinful actions start with a way of thinking.

        4. Renew your mind by reading and meditating on the Scriptures.
    2. Examine the sources from which your mindset originated.
      1. Whose words have you accepted-God's or the world's?
      2. If you do not change your mindset, your life will remain the same.
      3. When you learn to overcome, you begin to prepare for promotion in life.
    3. If you have the ability to control your anger, you are better than the mighty (Proverbs 16:32).
    4. The way you think determines who you are (Proverbs 23:7).
      1. Bad thinking can infect anyone.
