Summary:

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is in charge of the affairs of the Kingdom of God on the earth. The Holy Spirit functions as a helper and a guide to the
mysteries of God. He reveals God's plans for your life through hidden
wisdom and mysteries released by praying in the spirit, which is praying
in tongues.


  1. The Holy Spirit is your unseen partner in life and the most valuable asset to Christian living.
    1. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity.
    2. The Holy Spirit is vital in the life of a Christian.
    3. The Holy Spirit serves many functions:
      1. The Holy Spirit is a helper.
      2. The Holy Spirit is a motivator.
      3. The Holy Spirit is an energizer.
      4. The Holy Spirit is the executor of every vision you get from God.

  2. God has prepared plans for you that can only be revealed through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2: 9-11).
    1. God has prepared things for you before the foundation of the world.
    2. The Holy Spirit knows God's plans for your life.
    3. No one knows the things that God has already prepared for those that love Him.
      1. The plans of God can only be revealed to you through the Holy Spirit.
    4. Only through a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit will you discover all God has prepared for your life.
      1. You must get to know the Holy Spirit for yourself.
        1. Your pastor cannot be substituted for the Holy Spirit.
    5. Get to know the Holy Spirit through spending close personal time with Him.
      1. Prayer will allow access to the Holy Spirit.
      2. Praise will allow access to the Holy Spirit.

  3. When you pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit will reveal God's plans to you.
    1. Praying in tongues is praying in the spirit.
    2. Praying in tongues releases hidden wisdom in a mystery (1 Corinthians 2:1-7).
      1. Paul was able to preach wisely because of the Holy Spirit speaking through him.
    3. Praying in an unknown tongue is direct conversation with God (1 Corinthians 14:2).
      1. Release most holy faith to bring to pass those mysteries you pray.

  4. The Holy Spirit is the essential element for success. He is always available to help you, but He cannot override your will.
    1. Yield to the Holy Spirit as He guides you to the things God has already prepared.
    2. Real success can only be accomplished by yielding to the Holy Spirit.
      1. Be honest in your prayer time.
      2. Ask for help.
      3. Do not allow pride to stop you from seeking God's help.
        1. Do not rely on your own intellect.
    3. The Holy Spirit will not initiate help, but when you are the initiator, He will be right there to help you in everything.
    4. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit.
      1. The Holy Spirit is grieved when He shows up to bless you or impart to you and finds blessing blockers in your life.
        1. Unforgiveness is a blessing blocker.
        2. Strife is a blessing blocker.
        3. Pride is a blessing blocker.
        4. Fornication is a blessing blocker.

  5. Be led by the Holy Spirit in all your decisions.
    1. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide and influence your decisions.
    2. To determine whether you are hearing from God in a particular situation, ask yourself the following questions:
      1. Does what you are about to do require faith?
      2. Does what you are about to do require courage?
      3. Does your decision go against the reasons and rationalizations of the world?
      4. Do you have peace about your decision?
        1. Make sure that your peace is true peace and not peace based on selfish motives.
          1. Let peace rule as your umpire (Colossians 3:15, AMP).
      5. Does your decision line up with the Word of God?
        1. God will never speak in opposition to His Word.
        2. It is important to know the Word and have balance between the Word and the Holy Spirit.
          1. Know His Word so you will be able to distinguish His voice.
