Faith is not really faith without corresponding action. You must act on the Word of God, in which you believe. The correct corresponding action is
doing what God tells you to do.

  1. Our actions must correspond with our belief or else our faith is not really operative.
    1. Faith without works is dead (James 2:14-22).
    2. Do not overload your faith. Only act on what you have the faith for right now.
    3. Do not do foolish things and call it faith.
      1. For example, do not write a million dollar check by faith, and give it in an offering when you know you do not have the money in your bank account.
      2. Don’t overload your faith. Growing in faith is a process.

  2. Corresponding actions are actions that agree with your faith.
    1. Speak in line with what you believe (James 1:26).
    2. Your seed determines your harvest (Mark 4:26-28).
    3. Do not just be a hearer of the Word; be a doer (James 1:22-24).
    4. The correct corresponding action in any situation is whatever God tells you to do.
      1. Ask God to reveal to you what the correct corresponding action is in your situation.
      2. Meditate on the Word and ask God for direction.
