Summary:



Our heavenly Father wants us to be lenders and not borrowers. He does not want us to struggle all of our lives with the heavy burden of debt, or
be a slave to anything. God can cancel your debt and help you live debt
free.


  1. There are spiritual and natural laws to follow to become free from the bondage of debt.
    1. A law is an established principle that will work the same for anyone who gets involved with it.
    2. A person who follows God's way of doing things is better equipped than those who don't.
      1. Walk by faith and not by sight.
      2. Don't be discouraged by your current circumstances.
        1. Trust God, and believe He will make a way where there is no way.
    3. Debt is a trap. It is a vicious cycle that can cause problems in health, marriages, the workplace, and other areas of life.
      1. An investment is something positive you do financially for the sake of tomorrow.
      2. Debt is something you do financially at the expense of tomorrow.
    4. It is important that you re-establish your thinking in this area.
    5. Declare war on your debt.

  2. God will help you break free from debt (Isaiah 50:7).
    1. God will help you; however, examine your life, and make sure you are following His Word.
    2. There are things that can block your blessings.
      1. Avoid strife, unforgiveness, and doubt.
      2. Flee from sin and obey God's Word.
    3. Be a man or woman of character.
      1. Keep out of debt.
        1. Don't be the kind of person who is always trying to get out of something. For example, if you owe taxes, pay them. Don't try to worm your way out of
          it.
          1. Owe no one anything but love (Romans 13:7, 8, AMP).
      2. Have integrity.
        1. If you owe someone, pay them back.



  3. God will open good treasures to you and bless the work of your hands (Deuteronomy 28:12).
    1. Your heavenly Father will empower you to have success.
      1. Although God will give you an idea and an empowerment, you still have to work diligently. You have to focus and stay with it.
      2. When God blesses the work of your hands, you will be a lender, not a borrower.

  4. The rich rule over the poor; the borrower is a servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:6, 7).
    1. When you are in debt, you are enslaved to the lender.
    2. Satan knows that Believers are going to support churches and ministries.
      1. Through the spirit of debt, he is trying to stop the Gospel from being spread.
    3. The Word is your weapon in the war against debt.

  5. David gave us an example of how to become free from a giant such as debt (I Samuel 17:25).
    1. David, even as a young man, was not afraid to accept a challenge.
    2. He killed Goliath, and cut off his head in order to proclaim victory.
    3. If debt is the Goliath in your life, follow David's example and completely destroy it.

  6. David gathered five smooth stones and killed the giant (1 Samuel 17:40). Here are five smooth stones (mind-adjusting truths) you can use for debt
    cancellation.
    1. Understand that God is a debt-canceling God.
      1. God is no respecter of persons.
        1. He helped young David kill a giant, and He will help you get out of debt. a God doesn't want you to be weighed down by debt. He wants you debt
          free.
    2. You have a part to play in your debt freedom.
      1. Do what is necessary to get out of debt and stay out of debt.
        1. Avoid the practices that got you in debt (overspending, hyper consumption, greed, etc.).
      2. Speak faith.
        1. Start saying you are debt free!
    3. Open the windows of Heaven by bringing your tithe into God's house.
      1. When you tithe, God will open up the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing that you won't have room enough to receive.
    4. Create an out-of-debt cash flow.
      1. Do to others what you would have them do for you.
        1. If you know someone who has debt, sow a seed, or help them pay off their debt in any way you can; then the same will be done for you (Luke 6:31,
          38).
          1. The measure in which you give to others-the same will be measured back to you.
      2. Know that you will receive a reward from the Lord when you do any good thing (Ephesians 6:8).
    5. Place Heaven on notice concerning your intentions of becoming debt free.
      1. Give a memorial offering.
        1. This indicates your seriousness to be debt free.

    Jesus Christ is the same today as He was yesterday and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
    1. God supernaturally delivered a certain man from his debt in the Bible days (II Kings 6:5).
      1. The man lost an ax head that fell into the water. He yelled out that it was borrowed, and the man of God performed a miracle by making the iron ax
        head swim.
      2. This act proves that God doesn't want us to have the burden of debt.
      3. God is no respecter of persons!
        1. He is a respecter of faith (Acts 10:34,35).
