Summary:

God caused Abraham to experience wealth as a result of his obedience to God's plan. Therefore, it is the will of God that we prosper so that we can be more effective against the enemy's
attack.

  1. Abraham is the standard for mankind to follow, so that we, too, can be blessed.
    1. Abraham was extremely rich (Genesis 13:2).
    2. To establish ourselves in God's blessing, we must be faithful to Him and His Word (Deuteronomy 8:18-20).

  2. To be wealthy is based on what God has already said regarding His covenant for all families of the earth to be blessed (Genesis 12:3).

  3. Wealth is having more than what is sufficient (Exodus 36:5-7).

  4. Despite what the world has to say about our finances, we must stand firm and believe God's Word concerning our circumstances (Malachi 3:10).
    1. While waiting upon God for the manifestation, we should exhibit Godly character, persistence, faithfulness and sincerity in our commitment to
God—which allows us to truly walk with God.

  5. Living a qualitative life of abundance should be desired over living a quantitative life of abundance, one that is just focused on accumulating
    material wealth (Luke 12:15).
    1. Have the right motives for wanting to be wealthy.
    2. We should not strive for wealth to only consume it upon ourselves.
    3. We should live a qualitative life of abundance, which is motivated by love and a desire to give to others (1 Corinthians 10:24).
    4. Living a qualitative life of abundance determines whether or not one will enjoy the true abundant life.
