Summary:

The sixth step to answered prayer is to continually thank God for the answer. Plead your case before God by speaking His Word back to Him and He will fulfill your request.
  1. Be careful for nothing and with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6).
    1. Don't allow yourself to fret, be anxious or worry.
      1. Deal with anxiety by thanking God for what He has already done in your life.
      2. Worry and stress are tools the enemy uses to distract you and short-circuit your prayers.
        1. The cares of the world will hinder your prayers.
        2. You were not created to take on the cares of the world. Cast your cares on the Lord.
        3. When you take on cares, you are telling God that you can handle them better than He can.

  2. Rejoice in the Lord (Philippians 4: 4, 5).
    1. Thanksgiving gives you peace and wholeness.
      1. Think about God's goodness every moment.
        1. This will increase your faith.
    2. Spend time thanking God for the answer to your prayer, before you see it.
    3. Thanksgiving causes multiplication and increase to take place in your life.
      1. When you are thankful, you will be fruitful.
      2. When you are thankless, you will be fruitless.

  3. God wants you to come before Him with His Word and plead your case.
    1. God retains no record of your sins (Isaiah 43:25, AMP).
      1. God does not condemn you when you miss the mark.
      2. When you accept Jesus, you are cleansed and made free from sin.
    2. Speak God's Word rather than rehearse your mistakes.
    3. God will remember your declarations from His Word rather than your sins which He blots out.
    4. Put God in remembrance of His Word (Isaiah 43:26).
