Summary:

Although society says otherwise, sex outside of marriage is sin. God designed sex specifically for marriage between a man and a woman; anything else
is an abomination to Him. Obey and honor God by abstaining from sex
until you are married.


  1. You received wisdom, righteousness, redemption, and sanctification through Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:29-31).
    1. Your works won't get you into Heaven.
      1. Jesus is your qualifier.
      2. The only way to God is through Jesus.
      3. Jesus is the door.

  2. Don't allow sin to rule in your mortal body (Romans 6:1-12).
    1. You are dead to sin.
      1. Walk in newness of life.
      2. You are free from sin.
      3. If you sin, it is because you want to.
    2. Fornication brings the risk of obtaining sexually transmitted diseases.
    3. Sex outside of marriage destroys relationships and causes emotional turmoil.

  3. The foundation for all prosperity is the departure from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19-21).
    1. Iniquity is sin.
    2. Sin prevents the success principles in the Bible from working in your life.
    3. Your body is the temple of the Lord (1 Corinthians 3:16, 17).
      1. If you destroy the temple, you will be destroyed.
      2. Society has made fornication okay, but God is against it.
      3. It's better to be a fool in the world's eyes, than to go along with anything that opposes the Word of God (1 Corinthians 3:18).

  4. Honor God with your body; stay away from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:13-18).

    1. The works of the flesh includes fornication (Galatians 5:19)
    2. Don’t be joined to a harlot, but instead be joined with the Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 6:15-17).
    3. Marriage is honorable to God; it’s the only proper place for sex.
      1. Every man should have his own wife, and every woman should have her own husband (1 Corinthians 7:1, 2, AMP).


  5. As a Christian, you should walk in love at all times (Ephesians 5:1-3).

    1. There shouldn’t be fornication among Christians (Ephesians 5:3).
    2. You can put fornication to death in your life (Colossians 3:5).
    3. It is the will of God for you to abstain from fornication (1 Thessalonians 4:3).
