Summary:

In order for change to be a reality in your life, you must reject your old way of thinking. Reject any thoughts that oppose the truth of God’s

Word. Meditate on the Word of God and keep your mind set on the things
above. Stand on a specific scripture until you develop enough
confidence in that scripture that to activate the force of faith.


  1. When you make a habit of rejecting bad thoughts, your thoughts will change and consequently your life will change.
    1. We do not battle against flesh and blood (2 Corinthians 10:3).
    2. Every habit you have developed consists of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
      1. Strongholds are fortified thoughts in the mind.
        1. Strongholds are developed because you have allowed thoughts that contradict the Word of God to linger in your mind.
    3. Satan specializes in bringing thoughts that contradict the Word of God.
      1. His biggest weapon is suggestion.
      2. He will always make suggestions anytime you are trying to change.
      3. He ultimately wants you to think the Word of God won’t come to pass.
        1. Reject means to cast down, throw off or refuse to receive.
        2. Counteract his suggestions by casting down or rejecting every thought that opposes the truth of God’s Word (2 Corinthians 10:5).
          1. You reject thoughts by speaking words (specifically the Word of God).
            1. You cannot reject thoughts with thoughts.
    4. Bring every thought into submission to the Word of God.
      1. If you allow Satan’s suggestions to linger, he will use it against you later.
        1. Penalize disobedience by being obedient (2 Corinthians 10:6).


  2. Meditate on the Word of God and keep your mind set on the things above.
    1. Set your mind, and keep it set, on the things that are above (Colossians 3:1, 2, The Amplified Bible).
      1. Keeping your mind set on the things above begins with the Word of God.
        1. Although you have to deal with the things of this world, keep your mind focused on the things of God.
          1. For example: Pay your bills with your mind focused on God.



  3. Stand on a specific scripture until you have developed complete confidence it.
    1. Meditating on the Word of God alone doesn’t mean you’ll get results.
      1. Meditation alone doesn’t yield results.
      2. Confidence activates the force of faith.
    2. Develop confidence in the Word by standing on a specific scripture at all times.
      1. In the midst of trouble, speak the scripture you’re standing on.
      2. Allow yourself to develop such confidence in that scripture until it comes out of your mouth like a force.
      3. When faith is coupled with confidence it will come out like a force.
        1. Force
        2. The force of faith comes out of your spirit and will change circumstances in your life.
