Summary:
Each day we have the opportunity to choose whether or not we will live in a

way that is pleasing to God. We activate or deactivate the blessing in
our lives by the words we speak. Jesus died so we can receive the
blessing and not the curse. We must understand the Abrahamic covenant
in order to have confidence in the blessing of God.



A. The Gospel refers to the blessing (Galatians 3:1-18).

1. Christ has delivered us from the curse of the law.

a. The law, when it was introduced, was already a curse.

b. Jesus died so the blessing of Abraham might come on everyone, not just the Jews.

c. He took on the curse so we could partake of the blessing.

2. We have been redeemed from sickness, poverty, and spiritual death.

a. Although we have been redeemed from these things, Satan will constantly try to get us to accept them.

b. However, we must know and understand our Abrahamic covenant.

c. When Satan offers a curse (sickness, lack, and spiritual death), we should resist it.

3. Christ is Abraham’s seed (Galatians 3:15-29; Genesis 17:6, 7).

a. God cut a covenant with Abraham, which promised that his seed would be blessed.

b. If you don’t understand the Abrahamic covenant, you will not know what you have a right to.

4. We have been blessed so we can be a blessing.

a. The curse can affect a person’s confidence in God.

b. A lack of faith in the blessing keeps a person on the sidelines of the promises of God.

B. Reclaim the blessing with words.

1. Employ your divine apparatus—your mouth.

a. Activate the blessing by declaring the promises of God over your life.

b. We overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb and the Word of our testimony.

c. In other words, we should speak of those good things Jesus purchased for us by dying on the cross.

C. God released the blessing through words (Genesis 1:22, 28; Genesis 2:3, AMP).

D. God will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you (Genesis 12:1-3).

1. To curse someone means to speak negatively of them.

2. To bless means to speak good of someone.

3. Whenever we curse someone who is blessed, we invite a curse on our selves.

4. Get away from people (or anything else) who may be negatively affecting your thinking.

Negative thinking will produce negative speak
