Summary:

There is an attack on the economy; now, more than ever, Believers must know how to operate in the Kingdom of God's system. By choosing prosperity,
developing in character, and working hard, you'll turn on the spiritual
laws that govern prosperity and increase.

  1. There are spiritual laws that govern poverty and prosperity.
    1. A law is an established principle that will work for anyone who will get involved in it.
      1. When you understand and know how to activate these spiritual laws, they will result in prosperity or poverty.
    2. You become whole by following God's Word.
      1. Physical prosperity is a result of godly character: walking in love, avoiding strife, unforgiveness, and things that block God's blessing.
      2. God will empower you to prosper through your soul-your mind, will, and emotions.
        1. Don't allow the cares of this world to block the channel by which God can communicate His plan to prosper you.
        2. Learn to cast your cares on God.
    3. Avoid laziness.
      1. Laziness and a lack of understanding result in poverty and insufficiency (Proverbs 24:30-34).
        1. If you're lazy and lack understanding, take the steps to correct it.
      2. When you avoid sleeping unnecessarily, and are able to work without supervision, you'll receive a bountiful supply (Proverbs 6:4, 6-8).

  2. Poverty or prosperity is a choice.
    1. Man is a free moral agent-everything that happens in life is a choice (Deuteronomy 30:19).
      1. Poverty and prosperity have been placed before you; you have to choose one or the other.
        1. Your mouth is the initiator of poverty or prosperity.
    2. Satan has deceived people into thinking they don't have a choice in their poverty or prosperity.
      1. Three reasons not to believe Satan's lies:
        1. God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). a What God does for one, He will do for others.
        2. It's God's will for you to prosper in every area of life (3 John 2). a It' God's desire for you to prosper, not be impoverished. b God wants you
to follow that which is good, not that which is evil (3 John 11). c
Prosperity is good. iii. God has given you the power to get wealth
(Deuteronomy 8:18). a If God didn't want you to be wealthy, He wouldn't
have given you the ability to get wealth.

  3. The four R's that govern the laws of prosperity.
    1. The law of reward.
      1. Labor equals reward.
        1. When you work hard, you'll have plenty, because hard work demands a reward; however, worthless pursuits will result in poverty (Proverbs 28:19).
        2. You can turn this law on by simply working hard.
      2. The laborer is worth his reward (1 Timothy 5:18).
        1. No work, no reward.
        2. If a person won't work, they should not expect to eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10).
    2. The law of release.
      1. You must be willing to release for the increase (Proverbs 11:24, 25).
        1. Hoarding money will result in poverty.
        2. Only what comes from you will come to you.
    3. The law of receiving.
      1. It's important to be a good receiver, as well as a good giver (Luke 6:38).
        1. Jesus was a good receiver-He freely gave, and He freely received (Luke 7:44-46).
      2. The man by the gate called Beautiful expected to receive something (Acts 3:2-5).
      3. You've got to be in expectation of receiving.
        1. Those who expect to receive will receive.
        2. Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles; without expectation you limit the hand of God.
    4. The law of reaping.
      1. You have to sow in order to reap.
        1. The more seed you sow, the larger your harvest will be.
        2. When you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly (2 Corinthians 9:6, 7, 10).
      2. You won't reap if you allow your circumstances to determine whether you sow (Ecclesiastes 11:4).
        1. Sow in all circumstances (Ecclesiastes 11:6).
        2. Don't be deceived; if you sow, you will reap (Galatians 6:6, 7).
