Summary:

When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you became an heir to the covenant of promise. As a Believer, you are living under the
covenant of Abraham, which anchors your soul, and is the source of
unshakeable faith.



  1. Believers live under the covenant of Abraham.
    1. Many times Believers are unaware of their covenant.
      1. When you don't understand your covenant, you will be limited in your faith.
    2. Nothing will work without use and skillful understanding of the covenant.
      1. God can't work in your life if you are unaware of your covenant.
        1. Circumcision is a sign of the covenant (Ephesians 2:11, 12).

  2. The covenant is the foundation for unshakeable faith.
    1. Abraham believed what God promised him (Romans 4:18-21).
      1. Abraham's faith was unshakeable because of the covenant.
        1. If you find your faith shaken, it's because you have forgotten your covenant.
          1. The covenant is what anchors your soul.
    2. Abraham's covenant with God gave him hope (Genesis 15:1-18).
      1. The covenant was designed to eliminate weakness.
      2. Because of the covenant Abraham:
        1. Was not weak in faith.
        2. Staggered not at the promises of God.
        3. Was fully persuaded that God would bring His Word to pass.

  3. Jesus adopted you, and you became an heir to the covenant of promise (Galatians 3:12-29).
    1. Through faith in Jesus Christ, you are an heir to the covenant of promise.
    2. God promised Abraham He would multiply him, and his seed, exceedingly.
      1. God swore by Himself when He cut covenant with Abraham (Hebrews 6:13-19).
        1. This was actually a three-way agreement between God, Jesus, and Abraham (Genesis 17:1-7).
          1. Jesus was the Seed that came from Abraham; He also became the sacrifice prophetically spoken by Abraham.
    3. The covenant was God's idea.
      1. The law was established by priests to prevent chaos until the Seed came.
        1. The law cannot get rid of the covenant.
        2. The covenant was established before the law.
        3. No one can add to or take away from the covenant.
