Summary:


When you know and understand your purpose in life, you will be able to make the necessary changes in your life to fulfill that purpose. You must

discover the path God has laid out for you, rather than choosing your
own path. Your provision is in the specific path and plan God has for
you. The enemy will try to stop you from fulfilling your calling;
however, recognize that your trials are a sign you are making progress,
and promotion is on the way.



When you know and understand your purpose, you will be able to change in order to fulfill that purpose. If you don't know your purpose, however,

  1. you will remain the same.
    1. You have the power to change your life by renewing your mind with God's Word (Romans 12:1, 2).
    2. The Word of God is the basis for your change.
      1. The Word of God will show you what areas in your life need to change.
    3. Change involves addition and subtraction.
      1. It involves adding and removing things.
    4. You must know what your purpose in life is so you can make the necessary changes in your life.

  2. There is an established path God has laid out for your life, and you must discover it.
    1. God knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb, and He set you apart for a specific purpose (Jeremiah 1:5).
      1. The Lord formed you from the womb to be His servant (Isaiah 49:1,5).
    2. God chose you to be here at this time-you have a purpose.
      1. You cannot create your own destiny-it has already been decided by God.
    3. Your provision is in your divine destiny; however, you will struggle if you are in the wrong place, doing the wrong thing.
      1. You have already been called by God for a purpose; but, you have to be in the right place in order to receive from Him.
        1. Nothing will work unless you're in the place God has designated for you.

  3. As a Christian, your purpose is to discover and pursue God's plan for your life, at all costs (Romans 8:29).
    1. As a child of God, your purpose is certain (1 Corinthians 9:26).
      1. It is the will of God for you to be conformed into the image of Christ.
    2. You are conformed into the image of Christ by the renewing of your mind with the Word of God.
      1. Remain grounded in the Word of God, and allow it to affect your thinking more than worldly influences.
    3. When you know and understand your purpose, God will equip you with the power necessary to fulfill your specific purpose.
      1. Confidence will show up when you are in your place of divine appointment.
        1. When you are uncertain, you will not have confidence.
          1. A lack of fulfillment is a result of your wrong choices, not God's plan.
          2. There is fulfillment in the plan of God for your life.

  4. The enemy does not want you to reach your divine destiny.
    1. Satan wants to lead you down a path that seems right, but ends in death.
    2. Satan wants you to cave in and quit before you get to your place of divine appointment.
      1. The devil will use everything he can to hinder you from reaching your destiny.
      2. Pride and sin will lead you away from that place of destiny.
    3. Your trials confirm that promotion is on the way.
      1. There is always a test before any promotion.
