Summary:

God will take care of us in the midst of what is going on in the world. We must continue to execute what we have learned from God’s Word. As a
Believer, do not participate in the recession. God always has an
abundant supply, so expect Him to do what He has promised in His Word.
Refuse to fear, as you make His commandments a priority in your life.

  1. Reasons we do not have to fear recession:
    1. God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).
      1. Fear is not okay.
        1. We do not have to accept something God did not give us; resist it.
        2. When we tolerate fear, we contaminate our faith.
        3. Whatever you fear will come upon you.
        4. We do not have to participate in recession.

  2. To overcome the fear of recession, have the following attitudes:
    1. God supplies my needs (Philippians 4:19, AMP).
      1. Needs in this scripture is translated in Greek as demands or requests.
        1. It is your responsibility to present God with your requests.
        2. Expect them to be filled to the full and refuse to worry.
      2. Repeat to yourself, “God is my source!”
      3. Your attitude has to be that you are depending solely on God. He has an abundant supply at all times.
      4. Believe the promises from God’s Word, not the government.
    2. I refuse to fear when circumstances indicate failure.
      1. As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me (Psalm 55:16).
        1. Cast your burdens on the Lord, release the weight onto Him. He will not allow you to fail (Psalm 55:22, AMP).
        2. The Lord is with you; He will harden you against difficulties (Isaiah 41:10, AMP).
    3. I have covenant statements from God that say I will prosper in all that I do and I believe it!
      1. Keep the words of the covenant by acting on them (Deuteronomy 29:9).
      2. Our part is to do what His Word says.
      3. In order to do the Word, we must know the Word.
        1. Say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant” (Psalm 35:27).
        2. Meditate on the Word day and night. One form of meditation is speaking the Word (Joshua 1:8).
