Summary:

Hope is required to see the fullness of your faith. When hope dies, your faith will die also. Expectation is the breeding ground for
miracles-what you fail to expect, your faith will fail to deliver.
Write down what you expect, make it plain, and thank God for it now!




  1. Faith is the substance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1).
    1. Hope enables you to see the fullness of your faith.
      1. Hope is earnest, heartfelt, favorable, confident expectation; it's a desirable goal from God's Word.
      2. It's expecting with an outstretched neck-looking for what you believe will happen.
        1. Your hope will change and rearrange your plans.
    2. Without understanding of your covenant, you won't have hope (Ephesians 2:12).
      1. Hope is required for your faith to work.
    3. Scriptures are essential to our hope.
      1. Through patience and comfort in the scriptures we have hope (Romans 15:4).
      2. Hope comes from the Word (Psalm 119:81, 114).
    4. The objective of spending time in the Word is to develop hope.
      1. If you're not spending time in the Word, you will not be able to develop hope.
    5. Don't let hope die.
      1. Don't allow a delay to cause you to lose hope.
      2. Delay is not denial.
        1. Hope postponed makes the heart sick (Proverbs 13:12); but hope fulfilled is a tree of life.



  2. Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles.
    1. Remain in expectation of what you desire to come to pass.
    2. The man at the gate called Beautiful was in expectation of receiving something-he had an outstretched neck (Acts 3:1-7).
      1. He walked immediately because he had such great expectation.
      2. Peter and John also had great expectation that the man would walk.
    3. Write down what you expect, make it public, and immediately thank God for it.
      1. Thanksgiving is confident hope which expands your capacity to receive.
