Summary:

If we truly knew the beauty and awe of heaven, we would not focus so much on things here on earth. Heaven has been created with the truest and purest of luxuries—that far exceed all the pleasurable things on the earth. God has crafted a city in heaven that is so radiant it glows as brightly as the sun. It is a glorious city with a crystal clear river and a foundation of precious jewels

    1. Instead of focusing on the riches of this earth, we should focus on the rich, eternal treasures above.
      1. The way we live our lives on earth should portray us as good and faithful stewards in the things of God.

    1. The glorious city is the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:16-27).

      3. In heaven, we will live holy.
      4. Holiness is being of one mind with God.
      5. Our determination to live holy here on earth will prepare us for heaven.
    2. The wall of the city is made with precious gemstones (Revelation 21:19-21, AMP).
    3. The holy Jerusalem has no need of a sun or moon because the splendor and radiance of God illuminates it (Revelation 21:21-23, AM, Isaiah 60:19).
    4. The city has a pure, crystal clear river, proceeding from the throne of God (Revelation 22:1, AMP).
    5. Jesus went away to prepare a place for us (John 14:2, 3).
  3. When children and infants die, they return to heaven (Matthew 18:3-6).
