Summary:

Jesus shed His precious blood from His feet when He was crucified, giving us dominion over Satan. As His feet were brutally nailed to the cross, a prophetic Word from God was coming to pass. Jesus ultimately defeated Satan and took back the dominion God had given mankind in the Garden of Eden.

  1. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth” (Genesis 1:26).
    1. Satan came as a serpent and deceived Adam and Eve, taking away the dominion they had.
  2. “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (Genesis 3:15).
    1. God established a plan that would ultimately restore the dominion back to mankind.
    2. God said that a woman would give birth to a child that would defeat Satan.
    3. When Jesus was born, the prophecy was fulfilled. He was born from a woman, defeated Satan, and took the authority from him.
    4. Jesus made a way for us to have our sins forgiven and to have eternal life (Colossians 2:13-15, Hebrews 2:14, 15).
    5. Jesus returned our dominion and authority back to us (Luke 10:1-19).
  3. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10).
    1. Jesus’ name is above every name.
      1. How has Satan oppressed you?
      2. Remember, sickness, lack, and distress are all names—Jesus’ name is above all names.
      3. Jesus defeated all demonic oppression in our lives; however, we must claim our deliverance and our power over the enemy (Ephesians 1:19-2:1-7).
