Summary:

If we want to operate effectively in the kingdom of God, we must learn to live by faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Therefore, faith and the Word of God are the same. When we live by faith, we live according to the Word of God.

  1. To succeed in the kingdom of God, we must do the following:

    1. We must give the kingdom (God’s way of doing things) priority in our lives.

    2. We must go directly to the Word of God first whenever we face an issue or a problem.

    3. We must plant the Word in our hearts.

      1. We plant the Word by speaking it.

    4. We must receive the Word by taking ownership of what the Word promises.

  2. Faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for; being the proof of things [we] do not see (Hebrews 11:1, AMP).

    1. In other words, faith is the evidence of the things we cannot see in this physical world.

    2. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.

      1. Therefore, faith and the Word are one. We cannot separate one from the other.

  3. Faith is the law of the kingdom of God (Romans 3:27).

    1. A law is an established principle that will work for anyone who will get involved with it.

    2. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1).

      1. Walking in the flesh means to think in opposition to the Word of God.

      2. Walking in the Spirit means to think in agreement with the Word of God.

      3. The law of sin and death produces bondage in our lives (Romans 8:2).

      4. The law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, has the power to deliver us; therefore, it is a greater law.

  4. As Christians, we have been declared righteous (in right standing with God), therefore we are the just (Romans 1:17).

    1. The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17; Habakkuk 2:4; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38).

      1. If at any time we doubt the Word, we should consider our lives (whether or not we are actually living according to the Word).

      2. The Word of God works for anyone who believes it will work.
