Summary:

Miraculous breakthroughs can be the norm in the life of every Believer. However, we must have faith in order to see signs and wonders take place. Faith comes by hearing the Gospel, which is the good news that we do not have to be defeated in any area of life. When the Word of God is preached, we can begin to take possession of it, and experience the power of God like never before.

  1. When we know God’s Word and have confidence in it, we can count it all joy when we face trials (James 1:2-4).

    1. Joy comes to us when we have a vision of God’s Word coming to pass in our lives.

    2. Therefore, we must employ patience when trouble comes our way.

    3. Patience is remaining the same concerning our confidence in the Word, even through tough times.

    4. Allowing patience to do its perfect work is the prerequisite to seeing signs and wonders in our lives.

  2. In order to see God’s promises come to pass, faith has to be in two places—the heart and mouth (Romans 10:8)

    1. Our confessions are expressions of the Word that is in our hearts.

      1. Speaking the Word of God out loud is a form of meditation.

      2. We meditate on the written Word of God until we receive a rhema (or spoken) Word. God will speak a specific Word for our individual situations.

      3. When we believe God’s Word, we will not hesitate to come to Him first whenever we face a problem.

    2. We receive our salvation by confessing Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and believing in our heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9-15).

      1. Salvation is more than freedom from eternal death. The Greek and Hebrew translations of salvation mean deliverance, healing, prosperity, soundness, and wholeness.

      2. Therefore, we receive everything else in the kingdom of God in the same manner. We confess the Word with our mouths and believe it in our hearts.

  3. God sends Believers to preach the Gospel. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:15-17).

    1. The good news is that whatever is wrong can be made right through the Word of God.

    2. Faith for our deliverance comes when we hear the Word of God (Acts 11:13-14).

      1. When we hear the Word and take possession of it, the Word will flow out of the heart and mouth.

      2. There is power available to every Believer who preaches the Gospel. God confirms His Word with signs and wonders (Mark 16:15-18, Acts 14:7-11).
