Summary:

What would we do if we could not go to God in troubled times? The precious blood of Jesus gives us the right to come boldly to God whenever we need Him. Therefore, when we pray, we should be sure to acknowledge Jesus’ invaluable sacrifice, and what it means to us personally.

  1. Six reasons why the blood of Jesus is so precious.
    1. The blood of Jesus is precious because it redeems.
    2. The blood of Jesus is precious because it blots out sins, and purges our conscience from the guilt of sin.
    3. The blood of Jesus is precious because it gives us a right to have a close relationship with God.
      1. After the fall of mankind, we were hopeless because we were separated from God (Ephesians 2:12, 13).
      2. Now we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the Holy of Holies by the power and virtue in the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19-23, AMP).
    4. The blood of Jesus is precious because it makes peace.
      1. Peace is scarce these days. However, the blood of Jesus gives us true, lasting peace (Colossians 1:20, AMP).
      2. We can have peace even in the midst of turmoil. This peace is available to all those who trust Him completely.
      3. When Jesus was leaving the Earth, He told His disciples, “Peace I leave you. My own peace I now give and bequeath to you” (John 14:27, AMP).
      4. All our labor, conflicts, and struggles cease when we lay our burdens on Jesus Christ (Matthew 11:28).
      5. When we commit to trusting Him, He keeps us in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).
    5. The blood of Jesus is precious because it justifies.
    6. The blood of Jesus is precious because it cleanses.
      1. Sin is a plague. We should recognize our need to be thoroughly cleansed from it. (Psalm 51:2).
      2. When we fellowship with one another and operate in the enlightenment of God’s Word, we allow His blood to cleanse us from sin (1 John 1:7).

  1. When we ask for forgiveness of our sins, we should also forsake them. Sin hinders our prosperity (Proverbs 28:13).
    1. To live a godly lifestyle, we must keep God’s Word in our hearts (Psalm 119:11).
