Summary:

God has given you victory over death and you can achieve long life; however there are certain requirements that must be met in order to experience it. The enemy will try to attack your mind
with thoughts that oppose God’s Word, but lay hold of long life by
faith.

  1. You have victory over death.
    1. Longevity is your covenant right.
      1. If you are born again, you have a part in the Abrahamic covenant. This covenant includes long life.
    2. You should live a minimum of 70 years old.
      1. You must believe and declare that God will satisfy you with long life and show you His salvation.
    3. Don’t wait until you turn 70 to believe God for long life. Start when you are young.

  2. The first covenant requirement for long life is to stay in the secret place of God’s Word.
    1. If you dwell in the secret place of God’s Word, His truth about long life will be revealed to you (Psalm 91:1).
      1. The truth you know about long life will determine your freedom from death.
    2. Long life starts with your commitment to meditate on the Word of God.
      1. Spend time meditating God’s Word and He will reveal secrets to you (John 8:32).
        1. God will reveal secrets to you regarding how to care for your physical body.
        2. God’s Word is the wisdom you need to live a long, strong life.
    3. Death is an enemy.
      1. Jesus has given you the keys of authority over Satan’s ability to kill, steal and destroy you (Luke 10:19).

  3. The second covenant requirement for long life is to speak the Word of God (Psalm 91:2)
    1. If you don’t speak long life, you will never experience it (Mark 11:23).
    2. Your power is in your mouth; you will have what you say
      (Proverbs 18:20, 21).
      1. God will perform what you speak from His Word
        (Isaiah 44:24-26).
      2. Angels are waiting to bring to pass the Word of God that you speak.
        1. Angels hearken to the voice of God’s Word
          (Psalm 103:20).
    3. People destroy themselves because of the negative things they speak.
    4. God is obligated to bring your words to pass (Numbers 14:26-28).
    5. You are going to be held accountable for every idle word you speak (Matthew 12:36).
    6. If you want to live a long life, you’ve got to watch your mouth
      (Psalm 34:12, 13; 1 Peter 3:10).
    7. When you speak God’s Word in faith, you release His hand in your life (Psalm 81:10-14).
    8. God’s kingdom operates by seedtime and harvest and your words are seeds (Genesis 8:22).
      1. You will reap a harvest from the words you sow in your life (Galatians 6:7).

  4. The third covenant requirement for long life is trust in
    God (Psalm 91:2, 4).
    1. When you speak the Word, you have to trust God to bring it to pass.
      1. What you speak from the Word is a settled issue.
    2. Trust shows that you are committed to what God says in His Word.
      1. You have to be like Mount Zion and not be moved from the Word that you believe (Psalm 125:1-3).
        1. The devil will test your faith by sending opposing circumstances and situations to uproot your faith.
        2. Doubt will hinder your declarations of faith.
        3. Faith people are not moved by what they see; they are moved by what they know.
        4. Just because you haven’t received what you’ve been speaking doesn’t mean it is not going to happen. You will experience your declaration of faith
          when the time is right.
        5. You must rest in the assurance that God is good and cannot lie; what He has spoken will come to pass in due season.

  5. In order to experience long life, you must take responsibility for your health.
    1. Stop speaking words that produce death.
      1. “That just kills me.”
    2. Eat properly and exercise regularly.
      1. Drink enough water.
      2. Cut sugar out of your diet.
      3. Avoid fattening food.
    3. Don’t ignore the Holy Spirit when He prompts you to change in the area of your health.
