Be A Good Neighbor

You are God's representative and He wants you to treat those around you right.

PHILIPPIANS 2:4 NKJ

Who Is A Neighbor?

When Jesus was asked by someone who his neighbor was (Luke 10:29), Jesus responded by telling the story of the good Samaritan -- who helped a stranger in need who was laying by the roadside. Then, in verse 37, Jesus told the man to go and do like the good Samaritan.

A neighbor is someone who is near-by wherever you are.

Jesus Will Reward You

40 "And the King will answer and say to them, `Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

EPHESIANS 6:8 NKJ
8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.

Keep Quiet

Speak Truth

16 These are the things you shall do: speak each man the truth to his neighbor; give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace;
17 let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; and do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate,' says the Lord."

How To Act

COLOSSIANS 3:8-9,12-14 NKJ
8 But now you must also put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.
9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

HEBREWS 13:1-3 NKJ
1 Let brotherly love continue.
2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
3 Remember the prisoners as if chained with them, and those who are mistreated, since you yourselves are in the body also.
