Summary:

It is easy to get distracted in our busy world. However, we must not get too busy to remain connected to God. In His presence, we discover His plans and purposes for our lives, which allow us to have peace, despite what is going on around us. To enter His presence, we must come to Him with boldness and confidence, knowing we have a right to enter because of the blood of Jesus.

  1. We have a right to come boldly into His presence because of the shed blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19-21).
    1. To be bold means to have full freedom, confidence, and liberty to do a certain thing.
    2. For example, our children have liberty in our homes.
    3. Likewise, as children of God, we have the freedom to come to Him with confidence.
    4. When our confidence is authentic, it produces rest and peace.
      1. To rest means to cease in our efforts to make things happen.
      2. When we have peace, we have joy, and our faith is evident.
      3. We cannot say we have faith if we are frustrated or agitated.
  2. “Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward” (Hebrews 10:35, AMP).
    1. Satan uses fear as a weapon to attack our confidence.
      1. Primarily, he wants us to fear that God’s Word will not come to pass in our lives.
      2. Confidence to a Christian is like fuel in a car. It keeps us going strong.
  3. “Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore” (Psalm 16:11).
    1. We enter into His presence by acknowledging the significance of Jesus’ blood.
    2. Therefore, we must have confidence in the blood and what it has accomplished for us.
      1. We must not allow our feelings to determine whether we are in His presence.
      2. Instead, we must allow our faith and confidence to lead us, and God will meet us at the point of our confidence.
    3. There is a path of life (the life God wants us to have) that we all should follow.
      1. The path is His presence. We can remain in His presence or stay connected to Him throughout each day.
    4. Here are a few ways we can keep our minds focused on Him throughout the day:
      1. Praising and worshipping Him with songs
      2. Thanking Him
      3. Reading and studying His Word
      4. Speaking His Word
      5. Meditating on His Word
      6. Praying and praising Him in tongues
    5. Everyday we should keep in mind that the devil wants to get us off this path.
      1. He tries to distract us with anything that keeps us away from the presence of God.
      2. However, if we stray from God’s presence, we can always return by doing those things that help us focus on Him.
